Once again DHC celebrated Shavuot with great enthusiasm. The synagogue looked marvellous decorated with greenery. The chuppah pretty with clematis winding up the poles. Many thanks to the decorating team. The synagogue was full including a marvellous turn out of specially invited newer members, all of whom had miztvot. Rabbi Dr Borts, leading the services, welcomed them to the DHC community. It was good to have a large group of youngsters aged from 4 weeks to 12 who seemed to thoroughly enjoy their time at shul. They stood under the chuppah and carried baskets of fruit in the Torah procession. The rain held off long enough for people to be able to look at and admire the new Memorial Garden, plaque and decking. The service was followed by the usual magnificent DHC Kiddush with at least 3 sorts of cheesecake!
